In a change of artists and programme we are delighted that Julian Trevelyan and Freya Goldmark will give next Saturday evening’s recital at WGCC.
Emmanuel Bach has sadly been indisposed.

Freya and Julian’s programme will include Beethoven’s Violin Sonata No.3, Op.12.No.3, Clara Schumann’s 3 Romances Op.22, and the Violin Sonata Op.18 by Richard Strauss.

Freya Goldmark – violin
Julian Trevelyan – piano

Freya Goldmark is founder and director of Stamford International Music Festival, and has a busy programme as leader of the Ligeti Quartet. Julian Trevelyan is based in Paris and performs regularly throughout Europe. His recording of Mozart’s piano concertos 23 and 24 with ORF Radio Symphonieorchester Wien, directed by Christian Zacharias, was released by Alpha Classics in October 2022. He will be playing Martinu’s piano concerto in France, Rachmaninov’s 3rd piano concerto in Bulgaria, and Beethoven’s 3rd piano concerto Germany in the next two months.

Both Freya and Julian are alumni of MusicWorks, a charity which provides the highest possible level of chamber music experience for young musicians. More recently, they have been giving duo recitals together in England and France, and they look forward to playing for Welwyn Garden Music Club.
