The Amaia Quartet has risen to prominence as an exceptional string quartet, based in London. An internationally diverse ensemble, with members from four different corners of the world (New Zealand, England, Serbia and Scotland) the quartet shares a unifying passion for chamber music and a strong desire to explore the repertoire of the string quartet.

Graduates of the Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Juilliard School of Music and Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover, their accolades include awards at Enescu International Violin Competition (2016), Orlando International Chamber Music Competition (2017), Hattori Foundation Senior Award U.K. (2017), Massimo Antonelli Chamber Music Competition (2018), Philip and Dorothy Green Young Artists Award by the Making Music Foundation, Associates of the Royal Academy of Music and Aboyne Cello Festival Young Artist.

The quartet have been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, Radio Nacional de España, Radio Vatican, and NDR Kultur and recorded for the Brilliant Classics record label. The members of the Amaia Quartet have performed extensively throughout the world and across the UK. The quartet have been a part of the Britten Pears Young Artist Programme in the UK, Pro Quartet in France, Jeunesses Musicales International Chamber Music Campus in Germany, Juilliard String Quartet Seminar in the U.S., and the Evolution of String Quartet program in Canada's Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. In summer 2024 they were admitted to Le Dimore del Quartetto programme and their recent association with Chamber Studio at Kings Place London, under the mentorship of Levon Chilingirian, is another milestone in their artistic journey. Most recently, they recorded the soundtrack for the "God of Carnage" production at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre.
